Proven and commercially used for many decades ...

Anaerobic Digestion is the naturally occurring decomposition of organic matter in the absence of oxygen. It consists of series of processes in which microorganisms break down biodegradable material in the absence of oxygen. As part of an integrated waste management system, anaerobic digestion reduces the emission of landfill gas into the atmosphere.

Anaerobic Digestion is a renewable energy source, since the non-hazardous decomposition of organic matter produces a methane rich BioGas which is suitable for green energy production. A Combined Heat and Power (CHP) generator can be used to convert the biogas into usable energy in the form of heat and green electricity.

A further product of the anaerobic digestion process is a nutrient rich organic BioGrow® fertilizer or digestate.
